Mylène Aubertin-Leheudre
Biography
Dr. Aubertin-Leheudre holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology (2000) from the University of Montpellier (France), an M.Sc. in Health Rehabilitation (Kinesiology, 2002) from the University of Toulouse (France) and an M.Sc. in Kinanthropology (2003) from the University of Sherbrooke on the role of exercise and synthetic hormones on body composition in post-menopausal women. She obtained her PhD in gerontology (2006) from the Université de Sherbrooke on the subject of phytoestrogens and exercise in the prevention of cardiovascular risk in obese or sarcopenic-obese postmenopausal women. She then continued her research training with a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship (2009) in the Department of Biochemistry/Endocrinology at the Folkhälsan Research Center in Helsinki (Finland), where she studied the role of diet in sex hormone regulation and breast cancer prevention. Dr. Aubertin-Leheudre was supported throughout her doctoral and postdoctoral studies by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). Dr. Aubertin-Leheudre has been a professor in the Department of Kinanthropology since July 2009.
