Jean-François Rajotte
Biography
Jean-François Rajotte has been a professor in the Department of Computer Science at UQAM since the summer of 2023. From 2019 to 2023, he served as resident data scientist at the Data Science Institute of the University of British Columbia. Prior to that, from 2016 to 2019, he worked as a data science researcher at the Computer Research Institute of Montreal. He earned his PhD in Physics in 2010 from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany, and subsequently conducted research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and McGill University before transitioning to data science. His research interests include the application of data science to various fields, particularly healthcare, with a focus on the generation and evaluation of synthetic data.
